Serviam Girls Academy presents Through Our Eyes – A Student Retrospective and Showcase
May 25, 2021
In partnership with Lumina Arts of Grace United Methodist Church, Serviam Girls Academy is pleased to present an art show featuring its talented and insightful students. The show will be on display throughout the month of June, with an opening reception on Friday, June 4th from 5pm-7pm. The evening will be a festive atmosphere, including food trucks on site.
Ms. Jade Thomas used the structure of the Delaware Fun-A-Day to allow an open space for her 5th and 6th grade class to express, unfiltered, how they see the world. From the insightful to the exuberant to the fanciful, Ms. Thomas’ class embraced the challenge and created works throughout the month of March. Each student expressed a rich tapestry of emotions through the incredible depths of their creativity. Please come and delight in the wonder, insight, and imagination they share.
The Delaware Fun-A-Day is an annual all ages, all skill levels, and skill sets challenge and art show. Participants commit to creating one piece of art each day of the Maker Month, submitting their collection to be displayed alongside the other artists at the end of the month. 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of the Delaware Fun-A-Day project.
