Blue Coats Get Third Straight Win knocking off Grand Rapids 125-118

The Delaware Blue Coats (3-2), the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, defeated the Grand Rapids Gold (3-3), 125-118 on Monday afternoon at Chase Fieldhouse. Delaware has won three-straight games. Six Blue Coats scored in double figures in the win.

Jaden Springer, on assignment from the 76ers, dropped 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. Delaware’s Braxton Key led the Blue Coats with 31 points (12-17 FG, 4-6 3FG), 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and a team-high plus-14 rating.

Haywood Highsmith posted a double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists for the Blue Coats. Shamorie Ponds, the first pick of the 2021 NBA G League Draft, chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Shaquille Harrison notched 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists for the Blue Coats. Delaware’s Demarcus Holland added 10 points and 3 steals in the win.
