Spotlight on the Diamond State Black Film Festival: A Celebration of Black Cinema Returns to Wilmington

The cinematic tapestry of independent Black films will take center stage at the 3rd annual Diamond State Black Film Festival (DSBFF), running from October 10 to 13, 2024, at Theatre N in Wilmington. This year’s festival promises to evoke laughter, tears, and deep reflection, as filmmakers from across the country share stories that explore love, relationships, and the nuances of growing up in America.

A major highlight of the opening night celebration will be a tribute to Wilmington native Chuck Hayward, Emmy-nominated for his work on *Ted Lasso*. Hayward has also made waves with writing credits on *WandaVision*, *Dear White People*, and the reboot of *Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead*.
