Delaware Blue Coats Set for Season Opener, Chasing Another G League Championship
The Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, are set to launch their 2024-25 season on November 9, with an Opening Night event presented by Chase. The game will take place at Chase Fieldhouse, where they’ll face off against the Raptors 905 at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.). Fans attending this event will receive a complimentary season schedule magnet, courtesy of Chase.
In addition to the action on the court, attendees can experience the Courtside KidZone and enjoy entertainment from 76ers ENT and the team mascot, Coaty. For those seeking a premium experience, limited VIP tickets are available at the Courtside Level, presented by Piazza Auto Group Delaware. This season marks an exciting time for the Blue Coats, who are aiming for a fifth consecutive postseason appearance under Coach Mike Longabardi. The NBA G League structure has been expanded, with each of the 30 NBA teams now directly affiliated with a G League team. The season will kick off with the 16-game Tip-Off Tournament, leading up to the regular 34-game schedule and culminating in the Winter Showcase in December.
Delaware is the only NBA G League franchise to have won a Winter Showcase and a League Championship (2022-2023).
