The legislation strengthens the Equal Pay Act of 1963 by ending pay secrecy, enhancing remedies for employees, and requiring employers to prove pay disparities are job-related. Despite the Equal Pay Act’s passage over six decades ago, women still earn less than men, with Delaware women earning only 87% of what men make.
