Patrick Cantlay becomes the first player to successfully defend a FedExCup Playoffs event, winning the BMW Championship by one stroke over Scott Stallings
- Cantlay becomes the fifth player to defend a title this season, the most since 2007
- Cantlay enters the TOUR Championship No. 2 in the standings in a bid to become the first back-to-back FedExCup Champion
