WILMINGTON – JANUARY 24, 2023 – The Delaware Blue Coats (7-4) defeated the Lakeland Magic (8-5) 123-105 on Tuesday night at Chase Fieldhouse.
76ers assignee Jaden Springer scored 21 points on 8-19 shooting to go along with five rebounds, four steals, and two blocks. Braxton Key added his sixth double-double of the season off the bench, dropping 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in 24 minutes of play. Mac McClung and Julian Champagnie scored 19 and 15 points, respectively.
Justin Smith tallied 20 points on 10-12 shooting to go along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Jay Scrubb led the Magic dropping 35 points, 25 in the second half, on 14-27 shooting while adding eight rebounds in 34 minutes of play. Caleb Houston contributed off the bench, dropping 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds.
The Blue Coats are on the road next and return home again on February 11. Next up, the team hits the road to Birmingham on Wednesday, February 1 to face the Squadron. Tipoff is slated for 8:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
